Job summary

Master Plan Advisory is seeking a Master Planning Project Manager / Urban Designer to support project delivery across multiple markets from Houston, TX. The role involves managing master plan projects end-to-end, leading site assessments, creating 2D/3D density studies, and coordinating with design teams and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years in project management for master planning, strong skills in SketchUp/Rhino/AutoCAD, and travel nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master Planning/Urban Design focus preferred).
• 4–6 years of experience in project management with master planning and development work (not interiors).
• Proficiency with SketchUp, Rhino, AutoCAD for 2D/3D site layout; strong PowerPoint and Creative Suite skills.
• Understanding of entitlements, procedures, risks, and timelines; ability to support feasibility and due diligence.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and strong communication for client/stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver master plan projects by managing work from inception to completion across Mixed Use, Education, Healthcare, Institutional, Industrial, and Life Sciences.
• Lead site assessments and due diligence nationwide, translating findings into clear, actionable planning outputs.
• Create and manage 2D/3D density studies and site test fits, including scenario planning and bubble diagram work to evaluate feasibility.
• Develop implementation plans that reflect constructability realities, including zoning analysis and support for entitlement processes.
• Coordinate across internal teams and support multiple concurrent projects (approximately 3–5), while partnering with design teams, master planners, and infrastructure specialists.
