Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities is seeking a skilled painter responsible for surface preparation and applying high-quality finishes to interior and exterior surfaces across buildings and equipment. The role includes ordering materials, estimating usage, coordinating with other phases, and may lead paint crews if needed.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and 7–10 years of painting experience, with preferred construction or maintenance background and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine to complex surface preparation and apply coats of primer, paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Remove old finishes and prep surfaces for interior/exterior painting; decorate and protect surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures.
  • Assist with ordering paint materials, estimate paint quantity, and coordinate schedule with other project phases.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and supervise paint crews as team lead when required.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine to complex surface preparation, selecting appropriate paint materials, and using various application techniques to achieve a high-quality finish. Removes old finishes and preps surface for interior and/or exterior painting. Applies coats of primer, paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings, other structures, and/or equipment. Assists with ordering paint materials, estimating amount of paint needed, and coordinating schedule with other phases of work. Maintains inventory of supplies, including paint brushes, tarps, chemicals, etc. Potential to operate as team lead and supervise paint crews, providing positive direction to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 7-10 years of painting experience
  • Construction or maintenance related experience is preferred
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license

Pay Range

$25.75 - $33.12 / hour. Starting rate will vary based on skills and experience.
