Job summary

Moto Shop Service is seeking a Motorcycle Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair motorcycles to manufacturer specifications. This position is intended for an intermediate to experienced technician capable of performing routine service and repairs independently while identifying additional concerns as needed.

The technician will document condition, diagnostic findings, and recommended repairs, perform test rides, and ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Professional motorcycle repair experience or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Working knowledge of modern motorcycle mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to independently perform common maintenance and repair procedures.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using testing procedures beyond parts replacement.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, technical specifications, wiring diagrams, and repair procedures.
• Ability to safely operate motorcycles for movement, inspection, and test riding.
• Ability to use standard motorcycle service tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to accurately document findings and completed work.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple repair orders.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to provide and maintain professional hand tools needed for service and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and general motorcycle service.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, fuel, starting, charging, cooling, and drivability concerns.
• Perform engine, drivetrain, suspension, brakes, and chassis repairs.
• Inspect motorcycles and identify safety, maintenance, and repair needs.
• Document diagnostic findings, measurements, test results, and work performed.
• Perform test rides to verify concerns and repairs.
• Communicate findings and needed repairs before additional work.
• Maintain repair orders and shop safety practices.
