Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Addison, IL is seeking an experienced automotive technician to perform standard and complex repairs on cargo vans and box trucks with minimal supervision.

You will diagnose engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, HVAC, and computer systems, and may drive Budget Trucks on public roads. A valid license and ASE certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of auto repair experience.
• 3 ASE certifications required; ability to acquire 2 additional ASE certificates within first year.
• ASE areas include Engine Repair, Drive Train/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning and Engine Performance.
• Must have a complete set of tools for auto repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex repairs on a wide variety of makes/models, including cargo vans and box trucks.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, exhaust, brakes, electrical, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Serve as a technical expert to other technicians in the shop.
• May drive a Budget Truck on public roads.
