This position performs advanced troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair activities across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems. The role supports continuous production by minimizing downtime, improving equipment performance, and ensuring maintenance activities are completed in compliance with safety and quality standards. The Master Mechanic also serves as a technical resource for equipment-related issues and maintenance best practices.**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**1. Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems to maximize operational reliability.2. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC-related, and basic electrical issues using testing equipment, system observations, and maintenance data.3. Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs in accordance with maintenance schedules and equipment requirements.4. Perform emergency and unplanned maintenance activities to minimize production downtime and restore equipment performance.5. Inspect, disassemble, rebuild, and install equipment components, ensuring repairs meet operational and safety standards.6. Fabricate or modify replacement parts and components using machine shop tools, measuring devices, and maintenance equipment as needed.7. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, inspections, and equipment history within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).8. Monitor and manage maintenance inventory levels, including parts, tools, and supplies, and coordinate procurement of replacement components when required.9. Collaborate with production and plant leadership to identify equipment improvement opportunities, support process enhancements, and reduce recurring equipment failures.10. Safely operate maintenance equipment, cranes, hoists, power tools, and other specialized tools while adhering to all safety requirements.11. Maintain current technical knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, equipment technologies, and regulatory requirements through ongoing training and professional development.12.
