Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing marine service and repair organization in Sarasota, FL, recruiting Marine Technicians to service inboard/outboard engines and related systems. The role offers hands-on diagnostics and customer-facing work in a coastal environment.

The ideal candidate will hold Mercury Outboard and MerCruiser certifications, possess strong diagnostic skills, and be able to travel to marinas to complete on-site repairs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as Marine Technician working on inboard/outboard and stern drive engines.
• Mercury Outboard and MerCruiser certifications; Mercury warranty experience preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills with appropriate tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair inboard/outboard engines and related systems.
• Use G3 diagnostic equipment to test and repair boat engines.
• Conduct thorough assessments with estimated completion and budgeted time.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on boats up to 24–50 ft, including 100-hour services.
• Travel to marinas and private slips for mobile repairs.
• Communicate clearly with customers and service staff and document work orders.
• Mentor and coach a team of Marine Technicians.

We are partnering with a growing marine service and repair organization in the Sarasota, FL area who is seeking MARINE TECHNICIANS and MASTER TECHNICIANSto support inboard/outboard (I/O) engine services and repairs. The company is a Mercury Marine Platinum Certified DealerandPremier Service Center, andRepower Centerspecializing in the diagnostics and repair ofMercury Marine Outboard, MerCruiser, and the new V-12 engines. Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair/replaceengines, electrical systems, heating, ventilation, and other components as needed
• Usediagnostic equipment (G3) to testand repair boat engines and other needs
• Conduct thorough assessment prior to performing work including budgeted time and estimated completion
• Complete maintenance and repair on boats and other watercrafts up to 24-50 ft long (large center consoles and large stern drives)including routine maintenance (100 Hour Services)
• Perform testing and sea trials as required
• Travel to marinas and private slips to perform mobile repairs
• Effectively and professionally communicate with customers, peers, and Service Department, providing accurate and detailed work orders
• Act as a mentor and coach for team of Marine Technicians

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as Marine Technician working on inboard/outboard and stern drive engines
• Must possess current Mercury Outboard and MerCruiser Certifications; experience working with Mercury warranty, repair and other procedures required
• Superior proficiency in electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills, including diagnostic tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to diagnose and repair complex issues
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and clean driving record required
• Ability to work in Florida weather conditions, specifically high temperatures
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
