Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking a skilled Machinist to fabricate, install, and maintain shop machinery. You will measure, set up tools, and monitor machining processes to ensure products meet strict specifications.

The role requires 5+ years of manual machining experience, proficiency with precision instruments, and the ability to work OT on weekends. Competitive pay starts at $36–$42 per hour and includes comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical diploma in related area preferred.
• 5+ years of manual machining experience.
• Experience using precision measuring tools and equipment.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance according to guidelines.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals.
• Proficiency with rotating equipment manufacturing or repair.
• Industrial shop environment with exposure to noise, heavy equipment, and cutting fluids.
• Requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and manual dexterity.
• Availability to work OT on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, erect, install, and maintain shop machinery.
• Measure dimensions and tolerance using micrometers and calipers.
• Align and secure fixtures, tools, machines and materials.
• Monitor machine feed and speed during machining.
• Machine parts to specifications using lathes, mills, shapers or grinders.
• Measure and test completed units for defects and conformance.
• Set controls or enter commands for machine operation.
