Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Master Maintenance Technician to keep our facility operating and to lead the maintenance team across distribution center equipment. You will mentor Technicians and act as SME on systems and equipment.

Responsibilities include prioritizing work, mentoring staff, performing preventive and predictive maintenance on high-tech automated equipment, and ensuring a safe workplace by addressing potential safety issues. CMMS usage and strong electrical/PLC knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of maintenance experience in a facility, United States Armed Forces, distribution and/or manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience with industrial electricity including single phase and three phase power, motors, protective devices and/or photo sensors.
  • At least 3 years of experience with PLC logic principles, uploading and downloading Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), System Control Software (SCSs), and scanners.
  • At least 3 years of experience with electronics such as photo sensors, remote I/O modules (I/Os), servo drives, variable frequency drives and scanning systems.
  • Willing and able to climb to the 100-foot level for repairs, lifting parts and tools weighing up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks which include repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, and walking including reasonable accommodation.
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.

  • Uses Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to maintain distribution machinery and equipment according to the manufacturer's recommendations and good maintenance practices.
  • Maintains a safe work environment by documenting and correcting potential safety issues concerning material-handling equipment or distribution center facility.

Job description

Master Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the facility operating and repairing system problems. Master Maintenance Technician is required to lead the team, mentor Maintenance Technicians and Senior Maintenance Technicians, and act as systems subject matter expert (SME) for the facility and equipment.

Basic Qualifications

OR Associate degree in Industrial or Maintenance Technology AND at least 3 years of maintenance experience in a facility, United States Armed Forces, distribution and/or manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience with industrial electricity including single phase and three phase power, motors, protective devices and/or photo sensors.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) logic principles, uploading and downloading Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), System Control Software (SCSs), and scanners.
  • At least 3 years of experience with electronics such as photo sensors, remote Input/Output modules (I/Os), servo drives, variable frequency drives and scanning systems.

Salary Range: $30.48 - $46.58 / Hourly
