Job summary

Cavender Subaru Midland Odessa in Midland, Texas is seeking a MasterMainline Service Technician to join our team. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and servicing vehicles with a strong emphasis on quality, efficiency, and customer care.

You will work with diagnostic tools, communicate with the Service Advisor, and contribute to a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a service technician required.
• Strong automotive background.
• Submit to background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair orders efficiently according to dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools to identify issues.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate estimates and timeframes to the Service Advisor and customers.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and document all maintenance performed.

Estimated pay range from $40-$55 flag hour

Average of 40 hours per work week

Estimated RO's per month is 360 (transitioning into new building in 2027 there will be an average of 450-500 a month)

• Line Tech $6,000, paid $500.00 per month over a year
• Master Tech $12,000 paid $1,000 per month over a year

Currently have 6 stalls (transitioning into new building in 2027 with 12 stalls)

Here is what you will be doing:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
• Any other duties as assigned by Management

Here is what you will need:

• Previous experience as a service technician required
• Strong automotive background
• Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver's license
