The University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a Master Technician for their Transportation Department. This full-time position involves diagnosing and repairing heavy trucks and equipment, assisting with service calls and snow removal, all while benefiting from a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

This position is an onsite, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM position, with no weekends. Our Transportation Department provides and maintains the tools, no need for you to provide your own!
This position is a part of our Transportation department within the Facilities Planning and Management Division at UW-Madison. The Master Technician is one of the lead technician positions at the shop. This person will be diagnosing and repairing many items that come through the shop. This position acts as a guiding knowledge to other technicians with diagnosis and repairs. They will be mostly working on heavy trucks and equipment but may have to work on smaller assets as needed. They will also go on service calls and fix equipment in the field. This position may assist with snow removal during the winter season if needed.

UW Transportation Services is a department within Facilities Planning and Management (FP&M) on the UW-Madison campus. We serve a variety of customers with a diverse set of parking and transportation needs. Transportation Services is responsible for the coordination and administration of all transportation-related services for the UW campus community. Primary functions include the sale/management of parking permits, special event coordination, maintenance and enforcement, construction coordination, lot and booth operations, citation payments and appeals, information technology, financial, transportation planning, and development of multimodal options.

The minimum hourly rate for this position is $31.00, but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
