Job summary

Commonwealth of Massachusetts is seeking an operator for a range of heavy equipment requiring a CDL and hoisting license. Under general supervision, you will load/unload materials, operate specialty vehicles, and complete required forms.

Role includes responding to CMR cases and may use mobile tech to coordinate with supervisors. Boston residency is required, with availability for shifts and locations as assigned, including emergencies.

Qualifications

• Requires CDL and Hoisting license as issued by Mass. DPS.
• Ability to operate a wide variety of special heavy motor equipment.
• Massachusetts residency is required for Boston postings.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain assigned specialty vehicles.
• Load and unload trucks; haul materials.
• Complete required forms and reports.
• Respond to and handle CMR cases.
• May use mobile technology to communicate with supervisors and inspectors.
• Supports other Public Works Divisions as requested.
• Must be available to work any assigned shift, in any assigned location.
• Must respond to emergencies as directed by the Chief of Streets or designee.
