Job summary

Boston Water & Sewer Commission is seeking qualified individuals to operate heavy motor equipment and ensure the safety and efficiency of operations in Boston, Massachusetts. Applicants must be Boston residents and have a valid Massachusetts Class B driver’s license with specific endorsements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for equipment operation, training personnel in safety procedures, and completing necessary forms. Experience in operating cranes, loaders, and other heavy equipment is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and hoisting licenses required for operation of heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures is essential.
• Completion of BWSC’s Apprentice Program is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate various heavy equipment and machinery.
• Supervise and train other equipment operators.
• Complete necessary safety forms and reports.
