Job summary

Town of Castle Rock seeks qualified Fleet Technicians across levels I–Master to perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment, including snow plows. Candidates must have a HS diploma or GED with related training, plus CDL and DOT certifications or the ability to obtain them within a year.

Responsibilities include routine servicing, diagnostics, and repair of engines, brakes, suspensions and hydraulics, with on-call winter shifts and a commitment to safety. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED. Vocational auto/equipment repair training encouraged.
• One year technician experience; DOT Inspector Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• ASE G1 Auto Maintenance and Light Repair desired or able to attain within 1 year.
• Colorado Class B CDL with Air Brake endorsement required or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on vehicles and equipment including trucks and snow plows.
• Learn to fit equipment and diagnose systems in engines, transmissions and hydraulics.
• Downtime prevention through safety-conscious troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain repair records and write clear work orders.
• Work with shop tools and equipment; assist in on-call winter snow removal shifts.
