Job summary

Dowbuilt is seeking skilled finish carpenters in Hanalei, HI to join our team on high-end residential projects. You will demonstrate advanced interior and exterior carpentry, execute work to tight tolerances, and provide constructability solutions essential to our premium builds.

Candidates should have doors/windows experience, waterproofing know-how, and the ability to mill and fit trim with precision. U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience hanging doors and setting windows.
• Experience waterproofing; knowledge of flashing exterior doors and windows.
• Proficiency with use of builder’s level.
• Thorough understanding of structural framing details.
• Knowledge of trim installation around doors/windows/base/crown.
• Familiarity with coping, scribing, and cabinetry work.
• Ability to mill materials to exact dimensions and cut tapers.
• Familiarity with routing door and cabinet hardware.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural and shop drawings.
• Manage building layout and dimensional control.
• Meet deadlines; communicate delays to Foreman/Superintendent.
• Prepare and execute daily work plan.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to keep schedules.
• Assist fellow carpenters from framing to finish.
• Order materials with the Superintendent.
• Evaluate cabinets, doors, and window details.
