Job summary

Viatris is seeking a Master Electrician to join our U.S. manufacturing team. The role focuses on electrical maintenance, repair and installation across plant systems, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

We value candidates with a high school diploma, 5+ years of related experience and a Vermont Master Electrician License, plus proficiency with PLCs, CAD and electrical testing tools. This is a full-time on-site position in the United States.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; 5+ years of related experience preferred.
• Vermont State Master Electrician License is required.
• Knowledge of electrical testing equipment (ammeters, voltmeters) and hand tools.
• Experience with plant machinery, control cabinets, wiring, and conduit.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical maintenance, repair and installation with Production personnel.
• Schedule machine downtime for maintenance with Production personnel.
• Ensure tooling and materials are available for installations or repairs.
• Prepare material requisitions for new electrical installations and general repairs.
• Review requested machine modifications and suggested methods of implementation.
• Coordinate with contractors to specify electrical work and integrate with existing equipment.
• Ensure machinery and work area are cleaned after maintenance functions.
• Utilize PCs, PLCs and CAD system.
• Train new Electrical Maintenance personnel as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating electrical/electronic maintenance, repair and installation.
• Coordinate machine down time for maintenance with Production personnel.
• Ensure that adequate tooling and materials are available when installations or repair work is done.
• Prepare appropriate material requisitions for new electrical installations and general repairs.
• Review requested machine modifications and suggested methods of implementation.
• When necessary, coordinate with contractors to specify electrical work and to integrate with existing equipment or systems.
• Ensure that machinery and work area are cleaned after performing maintenance functions.
• Utilize PC’s, PLC’s and CAD system.
• Train new Electrical Maintenance personnel as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent and minimum of 5 years of experience is required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
• Must possess a Vermont State Master Electrician License.
• Must possess applicable knowledge of electrical testing equipment, e.g. ammeters, voltmeter, conduit-bending equipment, power hand tools and hand tools.
• Plant machinery and equipment, replacement parts, control cabinets, wiring, and conduit.

Compensation and Benefits

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $41,000.00 - $93,000.00 USD. This position is eligible for a 20% shift differential for working 3rd Shift.
