The University of Iowa Health Care department of Engineering Services seeks an Electrician I, II, or III. The role runs 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Requires Iowa Master Electrician license (Class A) with four years as apprentice and four years journeyman experience or Iowa Class B Master Electrician with ten years in electrical trade.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet University Fleet Safety Program requirements.

Responsibilities

Plan, lay out, and supervise installation of electrical wiring and equipment for light, heat, power and other purposes.
Perform advanced diagnostics and analyze system performance for reliability and optimization.
Investigate methods and equipment for electrical systems and make recommendations to engineers.
Design, install, and trouble shoot electrical control systems including lighting and programmable controllers.
Program, install, and commission various control systems.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic systems and components.
Support on-call rotation as needed.
