Purpose:
The purpose of the Master Data Specialist is to support the business by maintaining a high level of data integrity and to be a team member within the master data function. This role is responsible for creating and modifying article master files, and associated activities for the retail line of business.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for select categories (Candy, Snacks, Beverages, Tobacco, HBA mainline, Liquor, Stationary)
- Process master data ticket queue, update progress, and status for assigned categories and users
- Communicate with requestors (both Commercial and Operations) where clarification or updates are necessary
- Process ticket requests via HDCS submission and Vendor Portal and potential future applications/tools/modules
- Generate and load VIS files into SAP, troubleshoot and resolve errors, and validate
- Future potential development auto load from Vendor Portal work shifts from VIS load to Portal review and validation
- Refresh Purchase Orders for updated costs as needed
- Create, edit, update and test promos in all necessary systems and tracking tools
- Maintain accuracy with impeccable attention to detail
Reporting Relationship:
The position reports to the Assistant Manager, Master Data
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
- Education and Experience: The combination of education and professional experience must exceed 1 year:
- In a technical role: Requires 1 year of experience related to master data management.
- A bachelor’s degree or a program related to the functional area can count for this requirement.
- In the industry: 1-3 years of Hospitality, F&B and/or Retail experience
- Specialized Training:
- Proficiency with SAP; Specifically, Article Master Data governance and processes
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Collaborate effectively within diverse teams
- Produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several different activities
- Prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast paced and growth-oriented environment
- Adapt communication style to different situations and people as well as to a complex business structure

Requires regular or hybrid attendance at the North America Support Center in Bethesda, Maryland
