Job summary

Devon Energy seeks a Master Data/Owner Relations Lead Accountant to support SAP Business Partners and owner/vendor relations. You will analyze accounting processes, improve workflows, and collaborate across teams to ensure data integrity and compliant operations.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in accounting, strong SAP knowledge, and experience with data analytics tools like Power BI. This role requires leadership, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration in an energy industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business field.
• 7+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong SAP experience required.
• SAP Business Partner experience preferred.
• Experience with maintaining segregation of duties and SOX controls.
• Knowledge of AI tools (Claude/ChatGPT) and related usage.
• Knowledge of data analysis tools such as Power BI, Snowflake, Alteryx.
• Process automation and optimization experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Outline and direct SAP Business Partner structure.
• Support SAP Business Partner data cleansing for data integrity.
• Maintain SAP Business Partner workflows for Creations and Edits in Fiori.
• Handle owner/vendor inquiries and SAP master data processing.
• Support Microsoft CRM environments for owner/vendor inquiries.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
• Develop recommendations to improve department efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to drive process improvement.
