Job summary

Agile Resources, Inc. seeks an experienced Master Data Management Architect to lead enterprise data architecture and governance within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA environment.

This is a highly visible role responsible for establishing scalable master data strategies, improving data quality, and ensuring consistency across SAP and integrated business systems. You will work closely with business and technology leaders across Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations, translating business requirements

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of SAP data architecture or master data management experience.
• Proven ability to design enterprise-scale data models for SAP environments.
• Strong data governance, lifecycle policies, and data quality processes.
• Hands-on MDG workflow design and approvals.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAC, and integrations with legacy systems.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Engineering; Master's a plus; SAP certs desirable.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Master Data Management Architect to lead enterprise data architecture and governance within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA environment. This is a highly visible role responsible for establishing scalable master data strategies, improving data quality, and ensuring consistency across SAP and integrated business systems.

You will work closely with business and technology leaders across Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations, translating business requirements into effective data models, governance standards, workflows, and integration strategies.

What You'll Do

• Design and own the enterprise master data architecture across SAP S/4HANA and integrated systems.
• Define data models and standards for key business entities including Business Partners, Vendors, Materials, Equipment, Cost Centers, and WBS Elements.
• Develop and implement enterprise-wide data governance standards, naming conventions, lifecycle policies, and data quality controls.
• Architect and configure automated approval workflows within SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).
• Partner with business process owners to translate business requirements into technical data rules and governance processes.
• Establish processes to prevent duplicate, inaccurate, or unauthorized master data from entering production environments.
• Develop data quality dashboards, KPIs, and monitoring processes to identify anomalies, orphan records, and integration issues.
• Lead large-scale data migration, cleansing, and validation initiatives, including SAP implementations, operating company rollouts, and M&A integrations.
• Collaborate with technical teams to support APIs and integrations between SAP and peripheral/legacy systems.
• Establish foundational data structures that support SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) reporting and advanced analytics.
• Help develop a long-term roadmap for data automation, AI-driven data cleansing, and predictive data governance.
• Champion a scalable Clean Core approach across the SAP environment.

What We’re Looking For

• 8–10+ years of experience in SAP data architecture, master data management, or a closely related discipline.
• Deep technical experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and enterprise data/analytics environments.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale data models for Business Partners, Materials, Equipment, Cost Centers, WBS Elements, and other complex master data domains.
• Strong background establishing data governance frameworks, standards, lifecycle policies, and data quality processes.
• Hands‑on experience with MDG workflow design and approvals.
• Experience leading large-scale data migration and cleansing initiatives, particularly during SAP implementations, M&A integrations, or organizational rollouts.
• Strong understanding of SAP integrations, APIs, and working with peripheral or legacy systems.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• Experience developing data strategy or innovation roadmaps involving automation, AI, data quality, or predictive governance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• SAP certifications in S/4HANA or Master Data Governance are highly desirable.
• Data management or architecture certifications such as DAMA/CDMP are a plus.
