Job summary

Fox Corporation in Tempe, AZ, is seeking a Master Control Operator to support all technical and operations workflows within Broadcast Operations, including the assembly and playout of live and non-live networks. This role requires overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays on a 24/7/365 schedule and will work across FOX networks and platforms.

About the Role

The Master Control Operator supports all technical and operations workflows within the Broadcast Operations area. This includes the assembly and playout of live and non-live networks.

This role is part of the Media Operations team, which is responsible for delivering a high-quality viewer experience to millions of viewers across FOX networks, digital platforms, mobile applications, websites, and licensing partnerships. In short, we bring great FOX content to YOU!

This operator must be available and willing to work overnight shifts as part of a regular schedule, as well as weekends and holidays as required.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBLITIES

• Media Ingest, Assembly & Distribution – Provides support for quality control, processing, assembly, playout, and distribution activities for pre-programmed and live content
• Plays a key role in the technical workflows to support distribution across linear and Over the Top (OTT) delivery
• Will be responsible for on-air switching and running master control automation playlists in both multicast and live sports environments

Collaboration & Partnerships

• Supports Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery teams
• Partners with Live Media and other Media Operations teams and steps in to help in other areas as needed
• Works closely with all business units and provides world class customer service support.

Schedule

• Dedicated to a 24/7/365 operations organization.
• Overnight availability is crucial
• Regular weekend and holiday coverage may be required.
• Ability to work in an operations center environment with multiple monitors and low-light conditions.

Nice to Have, But Not a Dealbreaker

• A Bachelor\'s Degree is awesome, but not required
• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as 4K High Dynamic Range, and HDR10+ is a plus
• Knowledge of industry standards such as AMWA and SMPTE

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $28.75-31.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
