JOB DESCRIPTION

Support the day-to-day operations of NBCUniversal's Network Operations Center by ensuring the quality, accuracy, and continuity of live and recorded television programming across multiple broadcast and streaming channels. Monitor on-air content, perform quality control checks, manage playlists, execute commercial insertions, and assist with live events to maintain seamless broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor live and pre-recorded programming to ensure proper audio, video, captioning, and overall broadcast quality.
• Perform programming quality control, commercial rehearsals, event preparation, and on-air monitoring.
• Manage and update automation playlists, implementing programming, commercial, and marketing changes as required.
• Support live event broadcasts and contingency workflows using broadcast automation and playout systems.
• Execute commercial breaks accurately during live and taped programming.
• Monitor multiple channel streams simultaneously and identify inconsistencies or technical issues.
• Verify all content is prepared and ready for transmission before airing.
• Respond quickly to on-air issues, troubleshoot problems, and coordinate recovery efforts with operations teams.
• Communicate effectively with production, programming, and technical teams to implement real-time broadcast changes.
• Assist with master control operations, system migrations, and overall network operations support.
• Maintain accurate documentation while adhering to company policies and broadcast standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Knowledge of television production, broadcast operations, live sports/news/entertainment programming, and master control environments.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, deadline-driven situations.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset.
• Experience with live production, broadcast monitoring, automation systems, or control room operations preferred.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, troubleshooting, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies, workflows, and software platforms.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 operation.
