Job summary

Hearst Television in Pittsburgh seeks a skilled Broadcast Operations Technician to join our Engineering team. You will staff the master control room, manage playlists, and support both in-studio and remote productions.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, attention to detail, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior experience with ENPS and broadcast automation is preferred.

Qualifications

Experience in operating master control room and studio production.
Proficient with ENPS newsroom system.
Knowledge of file-based media workflows and broadcast automation.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays.
Valid PA driver’s license and dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

Staff the master control room during broadcasts.
Operate and monitor studio and transmission equipment.
Manage media preparation, playlists, and recording schedules.
Support in-studio and remote production operations.
Troubleshoot technical issues quickly to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with anchors, reporters, and production crew.
Ensure on-air playlists and commercial breaks are accurate.
Monitor video and audio quality with QC tools.
