Job summary

WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a full-time TV/Multimedia Engineering Technician to maintain the station's equipment and systems from acquisition to distribution. You will provide technical and IT support for all station efforts and report to the Assistant Chief Engineer.

Responsibilities include supporting ENG cameras, production systems, transmitter sites, and on-air automation while collaborating with a team and working flexible shifts. Travel to remote transmitter sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
• Experience with desktop and server operating systems
• Networking experience with LAN/WAN devices and systems
• In-depth knowledge of video production/television systems
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively with others
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and days off as assigned
• Capable of following verbal and written instructions
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and travel to remote transmitter sites
• SBE/SMPTE/IT certifications are a plus
• Equivalent military training from DINFOS will be considered
