Job summary

Alaska Aggregate Products, LLC is seeking a skilled Concrete Journeyman to perform advanced concrete placement, finishing, and repair across commercial, residential, and civil projects. You will interpret construction drawings, set forms, pour, level, and finish concrete while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience in concrete finishing.
• Proficiency with a wide range of concrete tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic math skills for dimensions of forms and molds.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Set forms for concrete structures, including footings, slabs, walls, curbs, sidewalks, and foundations.
• Place, level, and finish concrete using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, screeds, and grinders.
• Install rebar, mesh, and other reinforcement materials according to project requirements.
• Perform concrete cutting, demolition, patching, and repair work.
• Apply curing compounds, sealers, and surface treatments as needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a clean and safe manner.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Mentor and support apprentices or laborers as needed.
