Job summary

Deery Brothers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Iowa City is seeking a Certified and Master Certified Service Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles according to established standards. You may also perform pre-delivery checks on new vehicles to ensure they are in pristine working order for customers.

The ideal candidate will have dealer-level or large facility experience, ASE certification, and a high school diploma or GED, with strong communication and customer service skills in a fast-paced team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ASE certification or equivalent preferred.
• Post-secondary automotive training is a plus.
• Dealer-level or large facility experience preferred.
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues based on experience, analysis and testing.
• Maintain highest level of training through continued education.
• Keep vehicles clean while servicing or repairing.
• Ensure required documentation is complete and compliant.
• Support shop operations with inventory stocking and general tasks.
• Follow shop policies, safety and environmental rules.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
