Qualifications

• Essential duties include studying specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to determine dimensions and materials.
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines or power saws.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using ruler, pencil, chalk and marking gauge.
• Verify trueness of structure using plumb bob and level.
• Assemble cut materials and fasten with nails, dowel pins or glue.
• May use carpenter’s hand tools, power tools, bench tools, concrete saw, chipper, sander.
• Assist in other operations as designated by supervisor.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a safe, clean environment.

• Cut and shape materials to specified measurements.
