Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience.
• Appropriate training and experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and building plans.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to material and dimensions.
• Select lumber or materials as specified.
• Prepare layout using rule, framing square, and calipers.
• Mark cutting and assembly lines on materials with pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
• Assemble cut and shaped materials and fasten with nails, dowel pins, or glue.
• Cover subfloors and lay floors; install decorative paneling to ceilings and walls.
• Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for structures above ground level.
• Other duties as assigned.
