Job description

Interior Millwork & Exterior Trim · Middle Tennessee (Lebanon & Franklin)
  • FULL - TIME
  • $ 25 – $40+ / HOUR , BASED ON DEMONSTRATED SKILL

The details people run their hands over — that’s your work.

A Finish Carpenter at ClearPath delivers the craftsmanship our clients see, touch, and judge the whole home by — clean interior millwork and sharp exterior trim, installed right the first time and ready for the next trade. You’ll work on custom homes and renovations across Middle Tennessee alongside a crew that takes real pride in the last five percent of the job: the part everyone notices.

WHAT YOU’LL BUILD
  • Set and hang interior doors — plumb, square, consistent reveals — and install door hardware
  • Run baseboard and shoe mold with tight copes, clean miters, and scribed fits
  • Install crown molding and ceiling details, paint-grade and stain-grade
  • Set cabinets and built-ins — level, shimmed, scribed, and aligned
  • Install beams and other interior trim features
Exterior trim & siding
  • Install Hardie lap siding and board & batten with straight, consistent lines and correct clearances and flashing details
  • Build out porch rake, soffits, and overhangs that stay straight and drain right
  • Hang shutters and set columns square, plumb, and anchored to last
  • Execute the exterior details that finish an elevation — trim, wraps, transitions, and accents
WHAT WE EXPECT
  • Deliver finish-ready work. Measure, scribe, cope, and fit so your work passes the QC walk the first time.
  • Read the plans. Work from drawings and details, and pull accurate material and cut lists.
  • Keep the job moving. Hit your scope schedule and hand off ready for paint or the next trade.
  • Protect the work. Guard finished surfaces, and leave the site clean every day.
  • Flag problems early. Framing issues, material shortages, plan conflicts — raise them before they cost days.
  • Represent ClearPath. Homeowners judge the company by who shows up. Show up right.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Proven trim or finish carpentry experience — interior millwork, exterior trim, or both. Be ready to show us your work.
  • Reliable transportation to jobsites in Lebanon, Franklin, and surrounding Middle Tennessee. Don’t sweat the tools — we provide everything you need, hand tools to power tools.
  • Fluency with tape, level, and drawings — you can take a detail off a plan and put it on the wall.
  • The physical side of the trade — ladders, lifting, saw work, and full days on your feet, inside and out.
  • Reliability. On time, every day, ready to work.
Nice to have
  • Cabinet installation experience, especially custom or scribed-to-fit work
  • Fiber-cement (Hardie) certification or deep production experience
  • High-end custom home or historic renovation background
  • Experience leading a trim team or small crew
