Job summary

Razny Jewelers, a premier family-owned luxury jeweler serving the Chicagoland area for more than 70 years, is seeking an experienced Master Bench Jeweler to join our Manufacturing and Service team at our Addison, Illinois location.

The Master Bench Jeweler will perform advanced repairs and fabrication, handle precious metals including platinum and 18K/14K gold, and ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship for high-value pieces.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional bench jewelry experience in luxury environment.
• Advanced proficiency in repair, fabrication, stone setting, soldering, laser welding, polishing, and finishing.
• Ability to complete complex repairs and fabrication independently from start to finish.
• Extensive experience with platinum, yellow gold, white gold, diamonds, and precious gemstones.
• Strong understanding of jewelry construction and structural integrity.
• Exceptional hand skills, precision, and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet luxury-quality standards and deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and discretion with high-value pieces.
• GIA education, trade school training, or similar certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced jewelry repair, restoration, and alteration while maintaining quality.
• Expertly set diamonds and gemstones using various techniques.
• Perform complex ring sizing, prong and channel repairs, re-tipping, chain repair.
• Use laser welding and bench techniques for precise repairs.
• Assemble and fabricate jewelry from traditional to high-end pieces.
• Take jewelry from raw casting through assembly, stone setting, polishing, finishing.
• Work with platinum, 18K and 14K gold, and other precious metals.
• Evaluate jewelry and identify structural or quality concerns.
• Maintain high-quality standards throughout the process.
• Collaborate with service, sales, and manufacturing teams to meet deadlines.
• Handle and protect high-value merchandise and client-owned jewelry.
• Maintain an organized, professional bench environment.
