Job summary

O'Daniel Automotive Group in Fort Wayne is seeking an automotive service technician to perform steering, suspension, drivetrain, brake repairs, oil changes, and safety inspections.

You will contribute to a busy, family-like shop, participate in training, and advance on a self-driven career path with defined growth opportunities. Industry training and team support are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a service repair shop.
• ASE Certifications A1-A8 or OEM equivalents.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work legally in the U.S.
• High school automotive training preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform steering and suspension repairs/maintenance.
• Perform drivetrain repairs/maintenance.
• Perform brake repairs and oil changes.
• Perform safety inspections and general shop service.
• Complete assigned training and follow safety procedures

About the Role

• Perform steering and suspension repairs/maintenance
• Perform general drive train repairs/maintenance
• Perform general brake repair
• Perform oil changes
• Perform safety inspections
• Perform general shop service of machines
• Perform filter changes (air, cabin air, fuel)
• Complete assigned training
• Demonstrate shop and personal safety habits, vehicle preparation tasks, workplace skills, and engine repair tasks

The Must-Haves

• Valid driver's license and at least 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
• High school or college automotive program training
• Experience working in a service repair shop
• ASE Certifications or OEM equivalents in key areas including:
  • A1 - Engine Repair
  • A2 - Automatic Transmission/Transaxle
  • A3 - Manual Drive Train & Axles
  • A4 - Suspension & Steering
  • A5 - Brakes
  • A6 - Electrical/Electronic Systems
  • A8 - Engine Performance

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a high school automotive service MLR program and/or Automotive certificate from a community college or equivalent training
