Job summary

O'Daniel Automotive Group in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a skilled C Technician to apply experience in steering and suspension repairs, drive train work, brakes, oil changes and safety inspections. You will continue training and earn more as you learn more in a supportive family-style shop.

We offer competitive pay, medical/401(k)/paid vacation, certification reimbursement and a starter tool kit. Work week is Monday–Friday with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years old, authorized to work in the U.S.
• High school automotive program training or equivalent needed.
• ASE certifications or OEM equivalents in engine, brakes, suspension or electrical are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform steering and suspension repairs/maintenance.
• Perform general drive train repairs/maintenance.
• Perform general brake repair.
• Perform oil changes.
• Perform safety inspections.
• Perform general shop service of machines.
• Perform filter changes (air, cabin air, fuel).
• Complete assigned training.
• Demonstrate shop and personal safety habits, vehicle preparation tasks, workplace skills and engine repair tasks.

The Must-Haves

• Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age


• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future


• High school or college automotive program training


• Experience working in a service repair shop


• ASE Certifications or OEM equivalents in one or more of the following:




• A1 - Engine Repair


• A2 - Automatic Transmission/Transaxle


• A3 - Manual Drive Train & Axles


• A4 - Suspension & Steering


• A5 - Brakes


• A6 - Electrical/Electronic Systems


• A8 - Engine Performance

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred


• Completion of a high school automotive service MLR program and/or Automotive certificate from a community college or equivalent training
