Job summary

Herb Chambers Honda of Burlington is seeking an Automotive Service Technician (A-Level) to join our shop in Sharon, MA. Earn $30.00–$45.00 per hour with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

A robust pay plan includes base pay plus a percentage of department profit, dependent on experience and qualifications. The role requires ASE or manufacturer certifications where possible and prior technician experience.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications preferred.
• Previous automotive technician experience required.
• Must have basic tools.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test).

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Document all work performed and time on the repair order.
• Communicate with service advisor when additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Maintain technician proficiency as specified by Asbury standards.
• Conduct road test to determine work needed and to confirm completion of repairs.
• Assist and help fellow technicians in the shop and participate in training of novice team members.
• Ensure vehicles are returned clean and comply with safety and regulatory standards.
