Job summary

Asbury is seeking an Automotive Service Technician in New York to repair and diagnose customer vehicles with a focus on quality and guest experience. You will perform general repairs, use diagnostic tools, complete multi-point inspections, and communicate with service advisors while maintaining safety and CSI targets.

A valid driver’s license, ability to pass background checks, and ASE or manufacturer certifications are preferred; must have basic tools and strong mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• Must have previous automotive technician experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test).
• ASE and manufacturer certifications preferred.
• Must have basic tools.
• Strong technical and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and diagnostics on customer vehicles.
• Use multi-point inspection form and document work.
• Communicate with service advisor when additional work is needed.
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs when safe and practical.
• Maintain technician proficiency per Asbury standards.
• Complete warranty-related paperwork and documentation.
