Maintain professional standards, coordinate with the front desk for scheduling, keep rooms stocked and clean, greet guests, and complete prescription sheets.

Responsibilities

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for providing bodywork sessions forguests.Massage Practitioners apply a variety of scientificallydeveloped massage techniques to the soft tissue of the body to improve muscletone and circulation.Massage Practitioners work to enhancewell-being, reduce the physical and mental effects of stress and tension,prevent disease, and restore health.Massage Practitioners agree toconduct their practices in acceptable, ethical,professional behavior.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Modalitiesmay include Deep Tissue, Swedish, Shiatsu, Myofascial, Stone, Pre/PostNatal, and Body Treatments.
• MassagePractitioners use many different massage techniques and methods; these mayinclude the following, among others (not all modalities are practiced byeach Practitioner).
• Acupressure
• TriggerPoint
• ConnectiveTissue Massage
• NeuromuscularMassage
• Reflexology

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY

• Adhereto all requirements set forth in the AverillHospitality Employee Policies and Procedures and Non-Competedocuments and the service expectations as set forth by theManagement.Support company mission and policies andprocedures.
• Acknowledgethe confidential nature of the professional relationship with a client andrespect each client’s right to privacy.
• Responsiblefor the comfort of all guests while performing treatments and directing allefforts toward client satisfaction.
• Follow Spaat Whitefish Lake treatment protocols.
• Constantly monitor thequality of all Spa at Whitefish Lake services andtreatments.
• Communicatewith the Reception Desk staff on a regular basis to ensure smoothscheduling and billing.
• Maintainawareness of daily schedule and trouble-shoot any last-minute changes orupdates as well as monitor weekly and monthly schedule to assureaccuracy.
• Performall massage and body treatment modalities and participate incontinued education classes/trainings to learn other treatment/modalitiesoffered and introduced to future menus.
• Attendall mandatory training sessions and meetings.
• GreetGuests at the exact time of scheduled appointment toassure punctual start time of reserved treatments.
• Escortguests to designated treatment room, address clients by name,reconfirm treatment type and explain protocol for specific treatment thatwill be provided.
• Conducta complete client consultation (every appointment to ensure thatthe client’s expectations will be met
• Keep work areaclean and always stocked.
• Encourage clients torelax and keep conversation to a minimum during treatment.
• Always maintain properdraping before, during and after treatment.
• Afterthe service is complete, offer the guests a glass of water/ tea andinquire if they have another service and, if so, escort them tothe appropriate area.
• MassagePractitioner’s must complete a prescription sheet after each Massagetreatment and escort client to retail area and offer appropriateat home body care regimen via body care retail items. Make sure thatyou are taking every opportunity to put your guests on a treatmentplan.
• Maintainvalid Massage license and provide a copy to Spa Director forfile.Stay informed of state and local regulations for massagepractitioners.
• MaintainCPR certification.
• Adhereto time off/shift coverage request policy.
• Demonstrateprofessional excellence through regular self-assessment of strengths,limitations and effectiveness by continued education andtraining. Desire to provide phenomenal guest experiences, apassion for quality, and attention to detail.
• Strongcommunication skills with the ability to develop relationships andfoster cooperation.
