Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Massage Therapist to provide outpatient massage services aimed at improving patient comfort and recovery. You will assess clients, tailor sessions to individual needs, and document visits in EPIC.

A Massachusetts Massage Therapy License and a Massage Therapy Certificate are required, with at least one year of relevant experience including pregnancy or cancer-related massage preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or G.E.D. and Massage Therapy Certificate.
• At least one year in pregnancy massage and/or massage for cancer patients, plus Swedish, deep tissue/trigger point, and sports massage.
• Preferred: Craniosacral, reflexology, myofascial, hot stone and/or Reiki experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients for massage and collect information to tailor therapy.
• Demonstrates proficiency in relaxation techniques and specific massage methods.
• Provide massage according to established standards and complete paperwork promptly.
• Maintain equipment and inventory; report damaged items and restock supplies.
• Document patient visits using the hospital's EPIC system.

As part of the Center for Healthy Living team, the Massage Therapist:

• Assesses individuals for massage, solicits information from the client that will be helpful in developing the most favorable outcomes for the use of the therapy.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the use of relaxation, and other specific techniques.
• Provides massage according to the required standards.
• Completes all paperwork in a timely manner.
• Maintains equipment by cleaning therapy tables and reporting any damaged equipment to supervisor.
• Maintains supply inventory by monitoring supply levels, notifies admin staff to order and stock new supplies.
• Documents patient visit using EPIC

Pay Range

$50.00 - $50.00

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
