This job provides safe and effective massage services to all Fitness Center clients and guests. Participates in promotions, new member receptions, and special events as directed by the Department Manager.

Education

Required – Completion of an accredited and licensed Massage Therapy Program

Work Experience

Preferred – 1 year experience as a massage therapist

Certifications

Required – Current Massage Therapy License in the state of practice

Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
• Proficiency with Windows applications, role-specific software, and keyboard skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to individuals at all levels during the patient care process.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Job Duties

• Prepare massage room and provide massages to members and non-members.
• Maintain client information by updating health history and SOAP notes for each session.
• Participate in massage-related promotions, new member receptions, specials, and events.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of the massage room, supplies, and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients.
• Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy, explaining procedures appropriately, requesting permissions, and communicating effectively.
• Perform other related duties as required.
