This job provides safe and effective massage services to all Fitness Center’s clients and guests. Participates in promotions, new member receptions, and special events as directed by the Department Manager.

Education

Required – Completion of an accredited and licensed Massage Therapy Program

Work Experience

Preferred – 1 year experience as a massage therapist

Certifications

Required – Current Massage Therapy License in the state of practice

Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Proficiency with Windows applications, software specific to the role, and data entry skills.
• Effective communication skills for professional interactions with patients and staff.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Job Duties

• Prepare massage room and provide massages to members and non-members.
• Maintain client information by updating health history and SOAP charts for each session.
• Participate in promotions, new member receptions, specials, and events.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of the massage area, supplies, and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients.
• Adapt communication and behavior to suit the patient population, respecting privacy and obtaining permissions.
• Perform other related duties as required.
