Job summary

Kohler Waters Spa in Lincoln Park, Chicago, seeks a professional massage therapist to deliver therapeutic services to guests in a luxury spa setting. You will perform treatments such as Swedish and deep tissue massage, explain services and products, and help guests achieve total wellness.

This part-time position requires Illinois massage certification, at least one year of spa experience, weekend and weekday availability, and eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• State of Illinois Massage Certificate required.
• Minimum of one year experience, ideally in a luxury spa setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing guests with professional, therapeutic services using treatments such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, reflexology, and hydrotherapy.
• Informing guests of available services, retail products, and amenities throughout the spa.
• Communicating clearly with guests to gain a full understanding of their concerns and needs prior to every service.
• Offering sincere suggestions for the guest’s benefit to enhance their total wellness and beauty.
• Being knowledgeable of all products and providing customers with accurate information as it relates to your area of expertise.
• Preparing a wellness card for each guest starring products recommended for home care.

Our Kohler Waters Spa team at Lincoln Park offers more than 50 innovative spa services using the healing properties of Earth’s mineral-rich waters and provides an oasis of tranquility in the heart of a bustling Windy City neighborhood.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Providing guests with professional, therapeutic services using treatments such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, reflexology, and hydrotherapy
• Informing guests of available services, retail products, and amenities throughout the spa
• Communicating clearly with guests to gain a full understanding of their concerns and needs prior to every service
• Offering sincere suggestions for the guest’s benefit to enhance their total wellness and beauty
• Being knowledgeable of all products and providing customers with accurate information as it relates to your area of expertise
• Preparing a wellness card for each guest starring products recommend for their home care

This is a casual part-time position working weekends and weekdays. Hours vary between 8:30 am - 8:30 pm.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

The competitive commission range for this position is based on percent of individual sales. The average commission plus gratuity per service for this position is $83.00 - $102.00. The specific commission earned may be influenced by a variety of factors.
