Job summary

Beloit Health System in Illinois is seeking a qualified Massage Therapist to join the NorthPointe Spa team on the 2nd shift (12:30p–9p). This full-time position offers a 40-hour work week and eligibility for benefits.

You will perform therapeutic massage and body wraps, assess clients, document plans, and educate on wellness practices, while upholding safety and infection-prevention standards in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Complete an accredited massage therapy program.
• Illinois state massage therapist license.
• Excellent hands-on therapeutic massage skills.
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking abilities.
• Professionalism, empathy, and compassion.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and massage techniques.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic massage treatments and body wraps tailored to client needs.
• Conduct client assessments and review health histories to plan treatments.
• Utilize modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, and sports massage.
• Document treatment plans and patient progress per hospital policies.
• Educate patients on self-care, stretching, wellness, and stress management.
• Maintain clean, sanitary treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies.
• Adhere to infection prevention, safety, privacy, and professional standards.
• Monitor patient response and modify techniques as needed.

The Massage Therapist provides therapeutic massage services and body wraps to promote relaxation, reduce pain and stress, improve circulation, and support overall wellness.

• Perform professional therapeutic massage treatments and body wraps tailored to individual patient and client needs.
• Conduct client assessments and review health histories to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Utilize a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, and other approved modalities within scope of practice.
• Document treatment plans, patient progress, and services provided in accordance with hospital policies.
• Educate patients and clients on self-care practices, stretching, wellness, and stress management techniques.
• Maintain treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Adhere to infection prevention, safety, privacy, and professional practice standards.
• Monitor patient response during treatment and modify techniques as appropriate.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
