Role Overview

This role supports Cleveland Clinic's mission by providing clinical-based care using non-pharmaceutical manual therapy techniques to help with pain relief, increase mobility, and improve quality of life. We are seeking a PRN (as needed) LMT/Chiropractor assistant to assist our chiropractic team with patient care, perform chair massages for caregivers, and provide 50-minute therapeutic massages for patients.

Work Schedule

Shift options: 7:30 am - 5:00 pm or 8:00 am - 3:30 pm

Minimum commitment: At least 20 hours per month / 4 shifts per month (PRN role)

Responsibilities

1. Administer various therapeutic massage and bodywork modalities, including deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point, pregnancy/post-partum massage, acupressure, reflexology, and hydrotherapy.
2. Provide therapeutic services such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and stretching/strengthening activities under the direction of the chiropractic physician.
3. Work within the scope of practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist and unlicensed supportive personnel under Ohio law.
4. Interview patients to assess medical history, condition, and treatment goals.
5. Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments accordingly.
6. Document all patient interactions, treatments, feedback, and outcomes accurately.
7. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.
8. Assist patients in exercises to develop strength and endurance.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• At least 1 year of experience providing massage services or equivalent education/experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the healthcare field

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move and lift patients and equipment, including items over 30 pounds
• Extended standing and walking
