Job Description

The Massage Therapist provides superior service to internal and external customers, meeting and exceeding guest expectations with high-quality, professional, and relaxing services.

• The spa operates on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
• Compensation includes an hourly rate plus commission and tips, averaging over $30/hour with commission.
• Indiana accepts out-of-state licenses. We cover application/renewal fees up to $250. Candidates must provide official transcripts, proof of exam, and passage from the National Certification Examinations, sent directly from the issuing institutes. A background check is also required. Please see HR for details.
• A Sign-On Bonus of $1,000 is paid after 45 days, and another $1,000 after 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, effectively interacting with clients and coworkers, and handle difficult situations professionally.
• Deliver expert massage services, including Swedish, therapeutic, hot stone, deep tissue, and prenatal massages, along with body treatments and hydrotherapy.
• Maintain knowledge of all spa equipment and ensure its proper use and safety.
• Follow safety procedures, report accidents or hazards immediately.
• Keep work areas clean, sanitized, and organized; assist with other spa functions as needed.
• Manage supplies, restock as necessary, and maintain a fully stocked work area.
• Assist with retail sales.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Valid Massage License and familiarity with various body treatments.
• Indiana State Certification is required.
• Flexible availability, including weekends.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications per regulations.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Proficiency in providing Swedish and Therapeutic Massage services.
• Full weekend availability is preferred but not required.

Additional skills are typically acquired through a Massage Technician License.
