Job Description

The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing high-quality, relaxing services to both internal and external customers, exceeding guest expectations in a professional manner.

• The spa operates on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
• Compensation includes an hourly rate plus commission and tips. The average hourly rate with commission is $30+, plus tips.
• Indiana accepts out-of-state licenses. We cover application/renewal fees up to $250 for new hires, contingent on providing official transcripts, proof of exam, and passage from the National Certification Examinations directly from the issuing institutes. Background checks are also required. Please see HR for details.
• A Sign-On Bonus of $1000 will be paid after 45 days, and another $1000 after 90 days of employment.

The Massage Therapist

• Provides superior customer service, maintains professionalism, and handles difficult customers effectively while working harmoniously with coworkers.
• Delivers expert massage services including Swedish, therapeutic, hot stone, deep tissue, and prenatal massages, along with body treatments and hydrotherapy services.
• Maintains knowledge and proper use of all spa equipment, including exercise equipment, hydrotherapy tubs, lockers, sauna, whirlpool, and steam room.
• Follows all safety procedures, reports accidents or hazards immediately.
• Ensures cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas, and assists with other spa functions as needed.
• Monitors stock levels of supplies, maintains fully stocked work areas, and assists with retail sales.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid Massage License and familiarity with various body treatments.
• Indiana State Certification required.
• Flexible availability, including weekends.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications per regulations.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Proficiency in providing Swedish and Therapeutic Massage services.
