Position Summary

The Massage Therapist provides various massage therapy services and treatments that complement fitness programs, improve overall well-being, and enhance the guests' fitness experience while embodying the mission, vision, and core values of LifeSpa and Salon. They build relationships with other departments, educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy, design sessions based on guests' needs, and suggest massage schedules for recurring sessions. They work collaboratively with the entire LifeSpa and Salon team to deliver a superior professional experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet and serve members in a friendly and professional manner
• Provide individualized massage therapy services tailored to client needs
• Develop and maintain personalized relationships with clients
• Educate clients on LifeSpa and Salon products, services, and treatments
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the spa environment
• Serve as an expert in muscle and body analysis and maintenance regimens
• Promote and sell massage services and treatments, encouraging repeat business
• Stay current on certifications and industry trends

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Massage Therapy License
• Ability to perform all types of massage services
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and commissions
• Basic PC operating knowledge
• Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, lift, and move up to 50 pounds

Preferred Requirements

• 2 years of professional massage experience
• Knowledge of body treatments
• Experience with Salon Biz software

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate between minimum wage and $15, plus performance pay of 15%-55% based on productivity. Benefits include a fully subsidized membership, discounts, 401(k), training, paid sick leave, and additional benefits for full-time employees such as health insurance, paid time off, and more.
