Position Summary

The Massage Therapist provides various massage therapy services and treatments that complement fitness programs, improve overall well-being, and enhance the guests' fitness experience while living the mission, vision, and core values of LifeSpa and Salon. They build relationships with other departments and educate on the benefits of massage therapy. They design sessions around guests' specific needs and suggest massage schedules for recurring sessions, working with the entire LifeSpa and Salon team to provide a professional and superior experience.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Greets and services members in a friendly and professional manner
• Provides individualized massage therapy services and treatments tailored to client needs
• Develops and maintains personalized relationships with clients
• Educates clients on LifeSpa and Salon products, services, and treatments
• Maintains cleanliness and appearance of the spa environment
• Serves as an expert in muscle and body analysis and maintenance regimens
• Promotes and sells massage therapy services and encourages repeat business
• Remains current on certifications and industry trends

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Massage Therapy License
• Ability to perform all types of massage services
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions
• Knowledge of basic PC operations
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, lift, and move up to 50 pounds

Preferred Requirements

• 2 years of professional massage experience
• Knowledge of body treatments
• Experience with Salon Biz software

Pay

This position is paid on a performance-based commission, with minimum pay exceeding one-and-a-half times the minimum wage per hour.
