Position Summary

The Massage Therapist provides various massage therapy services and treatments that complement fitness programs, improve overall well-being, and enhance the guests' fitness experience while embodying the mission, vision, and core values of LifeSpa and Salon. They build relationships with other departments, educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy, and design sessions tailored to guests' needs, recommending massage schedules for recurring sessions. They collaborate with the entire LifeSpa and Salon team to deliver a superior, professional experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Greet and serve members in a friendly, professional manner.
2. Provide individualized massage therapy services meeting client needs and expectations.
3. Develop and maintain personalized relationships with clients.
4. Educate clients on LifeSpa and Salon products, services, and treatments.
5. Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the spa environment.
6. Serve as an expert in muscle and body analysis, recommending maintenance regimens.
7. Promote and sell massage services, encouraging repeat business.
8. Stay current on industry certifications and trends.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Massage Therapy License
• Ability to perform all types of massage services
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions
• Basic PC operating knowledge
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, lift, and move up to 50 pounds

Preferred Requirements

• 2 years of professional massage experience
• Knowledge of body treatments
• Experience with Salon Biz software

Pay and Benefits

This position offers a base hourly rate at minimum wage plus incentive pay ranging from 15% to 55% based on productivity.
