Licensed Massage Therapist - Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

We're seeking a licensed massage therapist who is passionate about providing high-quality bodywork in our holistic wellness center. Therapists must be proficient in massage techniques (e.g., deep tissue, Swedish, prenatal, etc.) and open to integrating other holistic practices such as Reiki/energy healing, sound healing, craniosacral therapy, and reflexology. The ideal candidate should be open to working some evenings and weekends while being able to work independently and collaboratively within a team to support each client.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

• Utilize Healing Springs Wellness Center office systems and tools for client communication, scheduling, and patient records.
• Educate patients on what to expect during and after massage treatment.
• Provide each patient with a treatment plan, review it with the patient, and document it in the client chart.
• Participate in marketing and networking initiatives to promote the center’s services.
• Accurate documentation of visit information.
• Prepare, clean, and restock the work area.
• Arrive no later than 20 minutes before the first scheduled appointment.
• Depart only after all clients have received treatment and all administrative duties are complete.
• Follow up with clients when necessary or required.

DESIRED QUALITIES:

Hold a current state license and liability insurance to practice massage therapy in Connecticut.

Proficient in various modalities such as deep tissue, Swedish, or prenatal massage.

Preferred training in holistic practices such as Reiki, sound healing, craniosacral therapy, reflexology, etc.

Strongly service-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Intuitive, compassionate, and self-motivated.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Knowledge of state and federal regulations (HIPAA).

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

LMT licensure is in good standing in the State of Connecticut.

Minimum completion of Massage Therapy Program, with 2 years of experience in a professional setting preferred.

Strong verbal communication and excellent customer service skills.

Capacity to manage a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
