Qualifications

• Valid licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist in accordance with state or local regulations.
• Proven experience in Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, prenatal massage, and trigger point therapy.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy.
• Experience with patient assessment and client communication to develop effective treatment plans.
• CPR certification is required to ensure safety during sessions.
• Prior med spa or occupational health experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent customer service and ability to connect with diverse client populations.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage tailored to individual client needs.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify areas of tension, pain points, and specific health concerns.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their goals and explain treatment options clearly.
• Maintain detailed records of each session, including client feedback, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to occupational health standards and sanitation protocols.
• Stay informed about current trends in massage therapy and incorporate new techniques such as physiologic knowledge and pain management strategies.
• Support clients in managing pain and improving mobility through customized therapy plans that may include trigger point therapy or specialized modalities.
