Hours: Per Diem

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate knowledge of massage therapy's purpose and functions for various client populations.
• Understand the philosophical, psychological, physiological, and sociological bases for massage therapy.
• Utilize current technologies in massage assessment, treatment, and evaluation.
• Provide massage treatments beneficial to patients, reviewing their medical history beforehand.
• Work within scope of practice, considering contraindications and patient limitations.
• Consult with healthcare team members regarding contraindications.
• Create a conducive physical environment for therapy.
• Document all visits accurately in the EMR within 24 hours.
• Communicate effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate treatment plans and participate in team meetings.
• Ensure confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Respect patient rights and conduct practices ethically and safely.
• Maintain equipment and supplies hygienically.
• Complete ongoing training and participate in quality improvement programs.
• Maintain knowledge of systems and software relevant to the role.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program (COMTA).
• 2-4 years of related experience, preferably with hospice experience.
