Job summary

Peregrine Yountville Management LLC is seeking a Massage Therapist for on-site spa services at Hotel Yountville. You will deliver quality massage therapy and body treatments to guests, maintaining treatment rooms and inventory, and promoting spa products.

Position requires maintaining licenses and participating in trainings. Flexible hours with long shifts may occur; prior massage license and at least 1 year experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• License or certification from an accredited school of massage/body work.
• Current CAMTC or City of Napa Massage permit is required.
• 1+ year massage therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Swedish, Sports, Shiatsu, deep tissue, reflexology, and other massage therapies.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain inventory and cleanliness.
• Promote spa facial and body products to guests.

Position Summary - Pay Range $16.90/Hr + tips, service & gratuities

The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing quality professional service in the administration of massage therapy and body treatments to guests of the Spa.

Essential Functions

• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Must participate in all hotel required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
• Must be able to perform various types of massage; i.e. Swedish, Sports, Shiatsu, deep tissue, Reflexology, etc.
• Must be proficient in all components of massage therapy; i.e. anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, etc.
• Must be proficient in a variety of body treatments; i.e. exfoliation, masks, wraps, etc.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities including ensuring facility/amenities are in proper working order.
• Prepare treatment rooms, clean after each treatment, and maintain inventory levels of linens and supplies.
• Provide Spa tours as necessary.
• Promote and sell Spa approved facial and body products using prescription pad.
• Check appointment schedule and print daily activities as required as well as complete daily reports.
• Ensure inventory control through proper usage of products.
• Maintain current licenses and certifications as required.
• Assist with front desk or locker room functions, as necessary.
• Abide by all hotel policies and safety rules.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of additional therapies desired.

Working Conditions and Schedule

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Must be able to sit/stand for up to 7 hours per day.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting.
