Job summary

SVR Management II LLC operates a spa where a Massage Therapist provides quality professional massage and body treatments to spa guests. The role requires CAMTC or City of Napa permit and at least basic licensing, with one year of experience preferred.

You will maintain treatment rooms, promote spa products, and assist with front desk tasks as needed. Excellent communication, professional appearance, and teamwork are essential in this on-site position at Silverado Spa in Napa Valley.

Responsibilities

• Provide massage therapy sessions (Swedish, Sports, Shiatsu, deep tissue, Reflexology).
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain inventory of linens and supplies.
• Promote and sell spa products using prescription pad.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of facilities.
• Assist front desk or locker room functions as needed.
• Maintain licenses and certifications as required.

Job description

Salary Range - This position pays Minimum Wage $16.90/hour plus commission and service charge. The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing quality professional service in the administration of massage therapy and body treatments to guests of the Spa.

Essential Functions

• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for the Silverado Resort.
• Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
• Must be able to perform various types of massage; i.e. Swedish, Sports, Shiatsu, deep tissue, Reflexology, etc.
• Must be proficient in all components of massage therapy; i.e. anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, etc.
• Must be proficient in a variety of body treatments; i.e. exfoliation, masks, wraps, etc.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities including ensuring facility/amenities are in proper working order.
• Prepare treatment rooms, clean after each treatment, and maintain inventory levels of linens and supplies.
• Provide Spa tours as necessary.
• Promote and sell Spa approved facial and body products using prescription pad.
• Check appointment schedule and print daily activities as required as well as complete daily reports.
• Ensure inventory control through proper usage of products.
• Maintain current licenses and certifications as required.
• Assist with front desk or locker room functions, as necessary.
• Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

• License or certification from accredited school of massage/body work required.
• Current CAMTC or City of Napa Massage permit is required.
• 1-year experience in massage therapy preferred.
• Knowledge of additional therapies desired.

Working Conditions and Schedule

• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Must be able to sit/stand for up to 7 hours per day.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting.
